I thought you would be pleased to know that today I was late for work because I lost track of time working on my test. Not only was I working on it but I completed all but 8 of the questions! I plan to finish them tomorrow with no promises on how well I did but I feel good about both my grade and the fact that I could do it; it made my day! I know that it is easy for some other students but for me math has always been painful and Seemed impossiple to understand thank you for wanting to make it a little less painful and for helping to open a mind to something I thought would never open.

I firmly believe that my classmates and I all received an exceptional learning experience in Ms. Robinson’s class. She exhibited strong teaching abilities and always accomplished the task of helping us understand Algebra. Her method of “1 on 1” teaching was very effective with the combination of the color coordination, teaching packets, overviews, and PowerPoint presentations. She is truly a real gift.

Ms. Robinson taught my son Algebra in 2004. She is a very warm lady who cares that her students grasp and feel comfortable with this difficult subject. When my son was challenged, Ms. Robinson sent Algebra PowerPoints to our home by e-mail. These presentations were so clear and succinct that even I, a truly math-challenged mom, could comprehend them. She told me in person that if “her kids could not understand a lesson, she would keep teaching until they did.” My son, along with his class, received award metals for Algebra, which counts as high school credit. My son will be attending the Magnet program at Pompano Beach High School. My son’s math portion of the FCAT was also a significant improvement. Her students exhibit a strong affection for her also. I sense this is due to their feeling that she really cares about them as people.

My daughter was struggling with pre-Algebra in the 7th grade. Her FCAT scores were below standards to enable her to attend the magnet program. Due to Ms. Robinson’s knowledge and ability to help students, she has helped my daughter’s FCAT math level from 2 up to a 3. With this score, it enabled her to attend the Magnet Program at the school of her choice. During the year of the level increase, Florida raised their scale to determine which level a student will be placed. The creator of MATH 1on1 is truly a fine asset.
